SCROLL DOWN

Shukubo Temple Retreats

Access a world typically not open to the general public by staying at a temple. Shukubo retreats allow you to live and breath an ancient history; get a glimpse into the way of life of a Shingon Buddhist monk – one that has existed for more than 12 centuries since the founding of Shingon Buddhism. Expect traditional Japanese-style rooms looking out onto inner gardens and traditional buildings; Buddhist vegetarian cuisine is the order of the day. Guests are welcome to partake in meditation sessions, calligraphy and sutra teachings.
