Wakayama-jo Castle (Cherry Blossom)
Wakayama-jo Castle, a majestic symbol of the Kishu region's prosperous past, is located very close to the city center and surrounded by Wakayama-koen Park. In Spring, roughly 600 cherry trees including the Somei Yoshino variety turn the park into a sea of light pinks.
