Visit Wakayama

The festival is held in memory of Masayuki Sanada and his son Yukimura. On both days, stage events are held and local Kudoyama stores participate in a Sanada market. On the 5th, a Buddhist memorial service is held for the father and son at Sanada-an Temple, and from the afternoon adults and children take part in warrior processions through the town. Among the warriors are those with spears, those with guns, and of course the Sanada Ten Braves who are particularly popular with the crowds.
