Bandoko Teien Garden
Now a park where you can picnic, barbecue or take a leisurely stroll, this gorgeous clifftop expanse was once a fortified lookout. Its close proximity to Wakayama Castle made it one of the region's most strategically important locations. Although nothing of the fortress remains, it's worth a visit for the coastal scenery alone.
