Kataonami Park Manyo-kan
Located in the grounds of Kataonami Park, you can learn all about the Manyoshu, the oldest extant collection of Japanese classical poetry from the 8th century. The grounds offer panoramic views of Wakanoura, a bay so beautiful it inspired many of the poems in the Manyoshu.
