Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art
Housed in a beautifully-designed glass building, this chic museum displays works by the Wakayama-born painters Banka Nonagase and Ryoun Watase. Strikingly individual, Watase’s works are in a southern Chinese style while Nonagase’s are in a traditionally Japanese style. Located along the Kumano Kodo, the museum offers a welcome break from walking.
