Oyunohara

This was the original site of Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine, until a flood in 1889. Now, only two small stone shrines remain, guarded by the world's largest torii gate.

Ride the Ryujin Bus from JR Kii-Tanabe Station and get off at "Hongu Taisha-mae"
From the Nanki-Tanabe Interchange on the Hanwa Expressway, take National Route 42, 311 towards Hongu for approximately 56.4 km.
